Many people who are siblings of famous people will not always have the singing or acting career that their siblings have – but they are able to find fame in a different way. Most will write memoirs and bios about their life and how it feels to live in the shadows of someone else.
Madonna’s brother is writing his own memoirs titled “Life With My Sister Madonna” and is co-authored by Wendy Leight. Madonna’s brother’s name is Christopher Ciccone.

Author of the famous ‘Harry Potter’ series – J.K. Rowling dressed herself in a red and black gown as she accepted an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from one of the United States most prestigious colleges – Harvard University. She gave a small speech before accepting the degree in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she spoke of the importance of imagination.

Between the books and the movies J.K. Rowling has made millions of dollars. Now she is trying to protect her famous ‘Harry Potter’ books from Steven Vander Ark and his ‘Harry Potter’ encyclopedia. Rowling is bringing Ark to court stating that he has violated her copyrights.

Rap star – Eminem – is working on a book of his own that his publisher describes as “every bit as raw and uncensored as the man himself.” His book – “The Way I Am” will be released this fall through Dutton Books. “It will be illustrated with never-before-seen photographs of Eminem’s home and life along with original drawings,” Dutton said in a statement.

Sayings like ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’ are some things that we hear when it comes to getting better. It seems though that British doctors think that pills and apples aren’t what patients need. Instead they are prescribing books as the new medicine for getting better.
Some doctors in Britain are telling patients “take out a book and call me in 10 days.” The country’s health system has joined with libraries to allow doctors to prescribe books as an alternative to drugs for those patients suffering from milder forms of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and anorexia.

Rowling the author of the “Harry Potter” series will be killing off two important people. And it seems that it won’t be an easy thing for readers to take. It is true that J.R.R. Tolkien has been dead for quite some time now, but some people are making sure that his memory continues as well as his legacy. His son, Christopher Tolkien, went through his father’s notes and finished yet another book that his father had previously started. The new book, which will go on sale April 17, is called “The Children of Hurin.” The manuscript that Tolkien began in 1918 took Christopher over 30 years to finish.

Fans and booksellers are preparing for the big opening day, which is likely to be a crazy night. It’s been a long hard road for Harry Potter and after ten years J.K. Rowling is closing the series.
